Main responsibilities
Ivelina is an Investment Analyst within the Sustainable investment team, responsible for managing the sustainability aspects of the Natural Capital Transition Strategy and leading the engagement programme for the strategy. Additionally, her role extends to product and process development, thematic research and supporting the investment processes in the Stewardship range.
Experience and qualifications
Before joining the team, Ivelina was part of the Climate and Natural Investment Risk team at Aviva UK Life and held a Climate Strategy role in the Aviva Investors Investment Solutions team focusing on sector decarbonisation pathways and climate scenario analysis. Prior to Aviva Investors, she was in the Climate Risk team at Phoenix Group, developing and implementing the sustainable investment strategy of the group.
Her past experiences also include Legal & General, where she helped the development of the ESG Policy for the group’s annuity portfolio, and United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP FI), where she supported investors alignment to the Financial Stability Board’s TCFD recommendations and the Paris Accord.
Ivelina holds an MSc in Climate Change, Finance and Management from Imperial College London and a BSc in Economics. She is currently pursuing her CFA designation.
