There are three sets of Regulations, which employers are required to follow in order to operate and maintain LEV equipment:
- The Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) Regulations 2002 1
- The Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 2
- The Control of Lead at Work Regulations 2002 3
The COSHH Regulations aim to ensure the safety of all people who deal with hazardous substances.
Examination and testing of the equipment should be every 14 months unless it is listed in schedule 5 of the CoSHH ACOP.
