Airmic Conference 2023 round-up
Airmic is the only risk management conference where the whole industry comes together so with many key partners and Airmic members on hand, our Global Corporate and Specialty (GCS) experts took the opportunity to discuss key issues and industry challenges as well as being able to connect and strengthen existing relationships over the three day event.
Our Group CEO Amanda Blanc opened the conference with a fireside chat on stage with Chris Lay, UK CEO of Marsh McLennan, where she spoke about the risks and challenges facing UK businesses and the insurance sector at the moment.
During the conference our Airmic team were able to share their own insights on market trends and the current challenges our customers are facing, and they attended hub sessions that covered environmental, social and governance (ESG), cyber and risk and resilience. Tom North, Head of Client Relationship at Aviva spoke to Insure TV at the event and discussed the importance of events like Airmic and the themes and trends that came out at this year’s conference.

Taking action to create a sustainable future is at the core of our GCS business, from supporting clients with their climate resilience to developing new renewable energy propositions. But it doesn’t stop there, it’s important to us to make sure our sustainability promises are reflected in how we manage events and using sustainable solutions when it comes to our stand.
To reduce waste and to make more sustainable choices in our materials, we reuse and recycle our exhibition stands. Our aluminium stand structure has been reused since the 1990’s and the stand flooring is made from hard-wearing and fast-growing European ply wood from responsibly managed sources.
It was a great event full of engaging sessions, insightful conversations and many networking opportunities throughout the conference.
