This way, you can carry on enjoying life without having to worry that your friends and family will be left to cover your funeral costse.

How our calculator works

Firstly, it’s important to know that it’s a guide, not a guarantee. We’ve done our homework and checked average funeral prices across the UK to give you an idea of the costs involved. We’ll look at factors such as your location, the kind of service you want and any extras you choose to include. What you’ll get back is an estimate to help you kick off your funeral financial planning.

And with funeral fees increasing with inflation, our calculator will also work out how much the same service may cost in ten years’ time.

A funeral that costs £4200 today could cost around £5120 in 10 years’ time, assuming an increase of 2% per year

If things were to increase by more than 2%, the increase in price would be greater.

Funeral calculator - 2024=£4,200 2034=£5,120

For example – In ten years’ time a funeral costing £4200 in 2024 would cost

£5644

if the inflation rate was 3%

£6217

if the inflation rate was 4%

£6841

if the inflation rate was 5%

Let us know where you live to get an estimate of how much a funeral could cost in your area. We ask this because funeral costs vary across the UK. Your estimate will reflect current prices and third party costs in your part of the country.

Funeral costs can also go up over time, so an estimate today may not cover funeral fees in 10 years' time. So, we'll also give you a future cost estimate to help you plan ahead.
