Can I insure 2 cars in my name?
Learn more about multi car insurance and how you can find more savings and less hassle parked on your drive.
Yes! This is often called ‘multi car insurance’ and covers households with more than one vehicle. This means you can have more than one vehicle, and up to five in total, that are registered at the same address on one policy.Footnote [1]
You’ll also save 10% on each added vehicle and, although that won’t stretch to optional extras, it means saving time messing around because your vehicles are all under one policy. But this doesn't apply to Aviva Online, Aviva Premium or Aviva Zero car insurance, or on top of any other discount for having more than one policy with us.
Options for insuring two cars
If your cars have different uses, then you may appreciate some choice in insuring your cars.
You'll pick between two levels of cover for each of your vehicles, Comprehensive or Third Party, Fire and Theft. You can also select different excesses and add-ons.

How does multi-car insurance work?
This depends on your current cover. You could take out a new policy for two cars at once or add an extra vehicle to the cover you already have, although, you won’t be able to do this with Aviva Online, Aviva Premium car insurance or Aviva Zero car insurance. Footnote [1]
If you’d like to have more than one car on your policy, your cover will start and renew on the same day for each vehicle with one price for them all. If a vehicle is added after the start of the policy, it's start date won't be the same until renewal.
If you already insure one vehicle with us, adding a second will automatically start a multi car policy. Here are the steps:
- Log on to MyAviva
- Choose the make a change option
- Scroll down to add another vehicle
If you don't have a car insured with us yet, grab a no obligation quote. Make sure to have this information on hand:
