Log into MyAviva and click Your Policies then select Investments. Here you should be able to see details of your investment accounts. Click Manage account next to the account you wish to make a payment into. This will take you to the summary page of your account If you are making a payment into a pension this should be your pre-retirement pension account as you cannot make a payment into a post retirement/drawdown account.
On the summary page of your account select Manage your account and select Manage payments, then Make a single payment. There will be important information on this page, and links to our Key Features and Terms and Condition documents. If you are making a payment into your pension, there will also be information on tax relief. Please take the time to read through this information.
If you wish to proceed, you can put details of your payment in:
• Amount: If you are making a payment into your pension, enter the amount you wish to contribute. Your tax relief will be calculated automatically, and you will see the total (your payment + tax relief) displayed on screen • From which bank account • Employment status and origin of funds
Select By Direct Debit or By Debit Card
• Setting up a new direct debit will take up to 10 working days to collect. If there is an existing direct debit in place the payment will take up to 3 working days. You can select the bank account you wish to make the payment from or add a new bank account if we do not hold the desired bank account on file
• Making a payment by debit card should be an instant payment. If you wish to pay by debit card you will enter payment details at the end of the process
You will then be given the option to invest the payment you are making into funds. Select Yes if you wish to invest into funds. Select No if you wish to deposit your payment in cash, you will be then taken to the Review and confirm page.
Selecting investments
If you have selected Yes, you will be presented with four different investment options
If you have selected a fund you wish to invest in, you can click Select this fund or Add
• If you wish to invest the total of your contribution into the selected fund, you will need to confirm the total to be invested. If your contribution is eligible for tax relief, you will need to confirm the total to invest including the tax relief
• If you wish to invest in multiple funds, you can repeat the process, adding your selected investments. You will then be able to designate a percentage to each of the funds you have selected
• If you wish to invest in a mix of funds and cash, you will have the option to confirm the amount you wish to invest in funds and the amount you wish to leave in cash.
Review and confirm
You will be taken to a summary page of your payment and any investments you have selected. This is your chance to review your selection to make sure everything is correct. If you wish to make any changes you can select Edit invested amount or Back
If you are happy, you can tick the check boxes confirming so, and then click Submit
If you have selected to pay by direct debit, your payment will have now been submitted and will be debited from your bank account (Timescales for direct debits are confirmed above)
If you have selected to pay by debit card you will now be asked to enter your payment details. Select Pay Now and enter your card details. Once submitted select Continue you will then see a confirmation page. Review this information and select Confirm payment to complete the process.
Setting up a regular personal contribution
Where to start

Your tax relief will be calculated automatically, and you will see the total (your payment + tax relief) displayed on screen • From which bank account • Employment status and origin of funds
You will then be given the option to invest the payment you are making into funds.
Selecting investments
You will be presented with four different investment options
• Universal Retirement Fund • Ready-made funds • Experts’ Shortlist • Self-Select • Choose fund or shares later (if you wish for your contribution to go into cash)
If you have selected a fund you wish to invest in, you can click Select this fund or Add
• If you wish to invest the total of your contribution into the selected fund, you will need to confirm the total to be invested. If your contribution is eligible for tax relief, you will need to confirm the total to invest including the tax relief
• If you wish to invest in multiple funds, you can repeat the process, adding your selected investments. You will then be able to designate a percentage to each of the funds you have selected
• If you wish to invest in a mix of funds and cash, you will have the option to confirm the amount you wish to invest in funds and the amount you wish to leave in cash.
Review and confirm
You will be taken to a summary page of your payment and any investments you have selected. This is your chance to review your selection to make sure everything is correct. If you wish to make any changes you can select Back
If you are happy, you can tick the check box confirming so, and then click Submit. Your payment will have now been submitted
Making an employer contribution
You will not be able to complete this process online through MyAviva. You will need to email our team at myinvestmentportfolio@aviva.com or call us on 0800 285 1088 to request an Employer Contribution Form.
Full instructions of how to proceed with making a one-off Employer Contribution or regular Employer Contribution payments in can be found on the form. Once the form has been completed, a copy can be returned to us by email.
