How our protection products compare

Life Insurance Plan

Our Life Insurance Plan pays out a lump sum to help your loved ones manage financially, if you die within the policy term. There is no cash-in value at any time.

Life insurance could help give your family financial protection if you pass away during the time you have your policy. It gives you essential cover that allows you to leave behind an amount of money to help those you love maintain their living standards and keep paying the bills.

Cover type

Available as level or decreasing cover.

Cover amount

This policy pays out a lump sum of up to £5m on death of the life covered.

How long will the policy last?

From 1 to 50 years or until you are 90 years old.

Is the policy available for two people?

Yes. If you and your partner would like combined cover, you can take out a joint policy.

This pays out once and won’t provide cover for the second person after the first person passes away.

Is Terminal illness covered?

Yes. If you’re diagnosed with an incurable illness and have a life expectancy of 12 months or less, you can receive an early payout of your policy’s death benefit. This money could help you manage your affairs or provide financial support during this time.

This benefit is different from critical illness cover. Once payment is made, your policy will end, and no further claims will be paid.

Is this policy protected against inflation?

Optional with level cover.

Do I need to answer any medical questions?

Yes – we'll ask you to complete a health and lifestyle questionnaire. In some cases, it's possible we may write to your GP for further information or ask you to have a medical screening.
